Canada packing list for families

Canada is huge, and a summer trip to Banff packs very differently from Quebec City in February. Mountain weather changes fast even in July, the coast is rainy, and winters inland are seriously cold. Pick your stops and the list combines them.

Kristina's notes on Canada

  1. Vancouver to Montreal is about a five-hour flight, so I plan either the west (Vancouver, Whistler, Banff) or the east (Montreal, Quebec City, Mont-Tremblant) rather than both in one trip.
  2. In the Rockies, a sunny July morning can turn cold and wet by afternoon. Pack a rain jacket and a fleece for everyone, even in summer.
  3. US plugs work and the dollar is close in feel, but everyone still needs a passport to fly, babies included.
